What a weird performance from Brady

You could minus one interception because of the timing with Floyd. But there were a couple other Brady passes that easily could have been picked and were not. But the truth is that he got hit way too many times--esp in a game that was supposed to be more or less a breeze. It's not so bad to get roughed up against a great playoff opponent, but another thing in a game like this.

I can see why both BB and TB were disturbed by a lesser effort. But this should help a lot for next week.

I thought Brady was terrible tonight.

Offense was out of sync and he was looking for the home run ball too much.

It's all about exploiting match ups and taking what the defense gives you, no need to force things.
I agree with everything you posted but terrible is a little too harsh.

I only saw one easy pick dropped. That is less than a couple.

Both picks were off tipped balls. Not sure how anyone can blame Tom for those.

  • The Texans decided to focus on shutting down the short pass
  • The Texans caused real problems for the OL
  • Brady made the Texans pay by going over the top
  • Floyd blew the first INT
  • Edelman couldn't hold on to a long pass along the sideline that hit him right in the shoulder/hands

Change those last two, and people are talking about Brady's 350+ yard passing night, and how he absolutely destroyed the Texans.

Hogan was unstoppable. We should have just kept feeding him deep bombs. And the lack of James White was a little weird.

They are saving that for either the AFCCG or the SB. Patience, grasshopper.

Did brady have zip on the ball tonight? Seem's like he was floating it out there. Was it windy?

It could have been 24-20 pats if the texans receiver didn't drop the td pass. It was ugly. Gotta play better next week.

They covered a 16 point spread.

It's not like we were playing San Fran ... the Texans offense might suck but the D is pretty good.

Also, I bet it comes out this week that multiple players were playing under the weather. Blount had the stomach bug and it spreads like wildfire. Brady looked like he was battling something and I bet white was too

Andrews had a poor game, he was getting bullied in there. These are the games you miss Gronk and his blocking ability and also keeping linebackers on their toes since he is so good at splitting defenders.

O-line was a mess through the first half, Texas D ate them for lunch. The run game and short passing game was shut down until the fourth. Brady had to play the chuck it and pray game. One thing that's different, that I don't think I've seen from the Brady Era Pats is that they can play the chuck it and pray game.

They may have been able to do it in 2007 but they never had to until the last game.

You can find a Brady era team that was better at something than this team, but I'm not sure you can find one who was better at everything.

Don't be too quick to trade Jimmy G. We have been struggling the first half most of the season even against weak teams like Jets, SF and etc.
Good thing about that second 30 minutes. ;)

They were getting pressure straight up the gut without blitzing and covering the short throws. The deep passes were the 1-1 matchups and he took advantage of them. 2nd pick was bad but the interior line (Andrews in particular) was a mess. On top of that we weren't getting any push in the run game. Horrible job by the line tonight. Gotta be better going forward.
