From time to time I'll try to test my memory and see if I can recall the year and opponent of the game in which each player who only has ONE TD pass actually caught that pass.

Let's see how I do...........

1.) M. Floyd - 2016 at Miami
2.) L. Centers - 2003 at Washington
3.) Ochocinco - 2011 at Denver
4.) D.Ward - 2003 at Indy
5.) H.Evans - 2006 vs Miami
6.) L.Maroney - 2006 at Green Bay
7.) M.Mulligan - 2013 at Atlanta
8.) M.Lengel - 2016 vs NYJ
9.) T.Glenn - 2001 vs San Diego
10.) T.Ashworth - 2005 vs Tampa Bay
11.) Charles Johnson- 2001 vs New Orleans
12.) B.Tyms - 2014 at Buffalo
13.) A.Davis - 2005 vs New Orleans
14.) C.Cleeland - 2002 at NYJ
15.) M.Hooman - 2012 at Baltimore
16.) D.Thomas - 2006 at Jacksonville
17.) L.Blount - 2015 at Indy
18.) P.Pass - 2005 vs New Orleans (the one I feel the least good about, I'm pretty sure he scored in this game but can't recall if it wsa a Rush TD)

Feel free to call me out if any of those ar wrong

You're right. Geez how do you guys remember this stuff.

I just looked it up and it was for a tight-end passing TD record.

I wasn't the one pointing it out but here's how I specifically remember it.

I was playing against my brother that week in fantasy football. I had Gronk and he had Brady. Obviously I still root for Gronk but I realize that any TD he gets Brady gets too.........except that TD was ruled a lateral (and hence rushing TD).....oh man, you should have seen the look on my brother's face when that was announced a few minutes after the TD...priceless

This is exactly why fantasy football sucks.

Trying not to hi jack the thread and make it about fantasy football but I keep my fantasy football interest to 1 team a year. It's a league in which the winner only gets pride so I'm not hooked like those people who have big cash on the line.

I used to have multiple teams but I've toned it down because I didn't like the 'conflict of interest'.

THere would be conflict of interest if you are starting a guy in one league but playing against him in another.

Then the worst conflict of interest is when you have a STAR player playing against the Pats. You can't sit them but you can't root for them either.

To each their own. Maybe I'm just too old or too up tight, but I chafe when I have conflicting desires or loyalties.

OK, I'm not sure if this is thread worthy or not (bye week forgiveness?) but I took some adderall yesterday
Expect to see your four week suspension enforced soon as I have filed my report and confirmed this to be true.

Appreciate the analysis, but the difficult variable is the differing durations in each period being analyzed.

Brady has been starting for the Pats for 16 years. His receiver % are going to differ significantly to Manning's stint on the Broncos.

After all, the players Brady played with early in his career are not the same ones he is playing with now due to average length of career of a wide receiver.

Fantasy Football is SO ESPN.

It's not the sport. Football is a 53 man T-E-A-M game.

I'd love to hear Belichick expound on the subject someday. It would be NSFW.

I suggest you take a look at this thread I started a couple years ago regarding Brady vs Manning

I do not remember that Ashworth TD at all. Was he lined up as a TE?

Enjoy your 4 game suspension!:)

By the way, it's really nice to see Aaron Hernandez up in the top 6. Too bad he's not in the top 3. I'm sure that would really have aggravated those who blank out his name or use the stupid Voldemort phrase.

Good work OP, definitely interesting to look that over.

Crazy how Moss is second and he played with Brady for less than 2.5 years (and one of those was when Brady was still recovering from the ACL).

If you really did that from memory, that is amazing. Hope you're putting that brain to good use in your day job!

Next time the Adderal kicks in :), how about a distribution chart by TD pass yardage?

I agree it is tough. But I do think there's a significance to the pass distribution in totals especially when the career durations are roughly the same.

Brady has thrown TD's to more receivers. He wasn't as dependent on one particular guy and has achieved similar if not better success.

I think that's possible. Can you elaborate on how you would like that broken down?

I've heard people state that Brady became too dependent on Moss and I think they may have a point.

Yes, I think the defense just thought he was acting as a extra lineman (similar to Nate Solder's Td in the AFC Championship game).

Speaking of which, that leads to another interest fun fact. So as you can see from a prior post I do pay a close interest to a player who only has 1 TD pass from Brady.

Another fun fact, in the 2014 AFC Championship game there were two players who caught their first TD pass from Brady (even though it doesn't go in the official stats)..............Nate Solder as just discussed but also James Develin. Seems strange, huh, for a game of that magnitude for players to catch their first TD pass.

one more fun fact........the Pats had a little known tight end in 2007 (so little I forget his name) I think it was Rivera or something.

Anyway, in the Washington game he either caught a TD (that was called back due to penalty) or dropped an easy 'would be' TD catch. Anyway, he was SO CLOSE to adding himself to the 1 TD pass from Brady list.

Furthermore, had he made that catch then the 2007 Patriots team would have set the record for the most different players scoring a TD (instead they had to settle for a tie with one of the Broncos teams).
