NFL's Latest Filing Against Brady Says Investigation Being Independent is 'Irrelevant'

Ian Logue

Just when you thought it was gone, the NFL reminded us that they're still unhappy with the fact Tom Brady is playing football.

While maintaining that Judge Berman has no authority to overrule the Commissioner, they fail to mention that they asked Judge Berman to adjudicate. In addition, Jastremski and McNally are back at work (albeit in different jobs) why did the NFL allow the conspirators in this nefarious scheme to return to the team? And what of the video which shows McNally openly carrying the ball past numerous officials?

Oh NFL, you are a joke.

Didn't Hans Christian Anderson write this story a long time ago? I hope I don't see any pics of Emperor Goodell in his new clothes.

It isn't relevant to the US 2nd Court of Appeals to rule whether the investigation was independent or not, Brady's team is still entitled to see the investigative notes at appeal and cross examine Wells and Pasch as the lead investigators. Berman never ruled anything on the independence of the investigation, he just hurt Goodell's feelings by putting "independent" in quotes to show Goodell's #integrity.

Pretty sure it is relevant when you tell the persons being investigated it is independent...

The NFL is really going to convince CA2 to reverse and remand Berman's decision with arguments like "we don't have to conduct independent examinations" and "we don't have to follow fundamental principles of due process under the CBA"?

Why doesn't anyone ask this assclown if he is aware that if Walt Anderson's otherwise immpecable memory is correct regarding which gauge he used (as the NFL insists it is in every other case) then the Wells report proves nothing untoward happened?

The only thing I am interested in knowing is what is the root of the anti patriots agenda in the league office.

Goodell legally asserts his status as Judge Dredd.

heh..so THIS is Goodell's first appearance in months? THIS??

time to cut this mutt off at the knees....he's an embarrassment that will NEVER be lived down.

This appeal is about Article 46, and whether or not it gives Goodell the authority to invade Mexico, or anywhere else. The NFL believes Goodell is the Supreme Ruler of Our Cosmic Body and no one has disproven him yet (we can thank ESPN for that). Good luck Tom, now that you pissed off Coke there is no turning back.

Anyone got a concensus from legal experts on what Brady's or NFL's chances of winning are?

Ok, so my understanding is that: 'gotohell is sueing to have all the quotation marks removed from the Berman report'. ;)

Sounds like another fine productive endeavor/initiative. Right up there with goal line cameras.

Don't be so sure of yourself, yeah, that's sounds crazy but some people get wood over that sh.t.........

It will depend upon the 3 judges they draw.
