I think it's a recognition of the reality that four of the half-dozen most important patriots players on offense are out with injuries.it will be interesting to see if the Pats will go for it on this 2 minute drill or just try to get through the half.
Well I guess its the latter. I can understand why, because of all the injuries. I can't condone the "playing not to lose" strategy. If they are going to do that than just get Brady and Gronk out of there, and then do the best you can. Why pretend to compete, which is what they are doing now,
I don't like it.......even if it might be the smart thing to do.
Then just give up trying w/our key players. Put Garropolo in. If we are going to win this game we need some balls and need to take chances. Having 2 full minutes and 2 TOs and the GOAT...we should have given it a shot. Definitely should have started trying after a 12 yard draw on first down.because thats all they have. they dont have the oline to protect long or WR to get open quick. they know their limitations and dont want to put up a injured defense on the field.
More like "no players."
Cant really fault them. Theyve suffered enough injuries and this game doesnt mean all that much, so I'm not as pissed with the approach as I normally would be.
I guess the pats dont see much of a difference between the 1 and 2 seed, and there really isnt any. If this team is healthy they should have no problem winning in cincy or denver anyway.
It still makes no sense not to try..Cant really fault them. Theyve suffered enough injuries and this game doesnt mean all that much, so I'm not as pissed with the approach as I normally would be.

I saw what I saw. The defender chasing his man and just going AROUND the picking offensive player. Taking up space is not a penalty. They're not going to call OPI on that. "Go back and re watch until you see what my dumbass thinks I saw." FOH
Deferring has nothing to do with scoring at the end of the first half. Why even defer? You defer because you look to score late in the half and again when you get the ball back at the beginning of the 2nd half.
Makes no sense. Pats outsmarting themselves and very rarely would one say that.
I don't watch too many Pats games, but them wasting almost 2 minutes with 2 timeouts kinda strange right?
BB must have some major adjustments for 2nd half and didn't feel like risking things with current gameplan.
Any predictions what adjustments will be made?
I will let BB decide that. And he and this team has enough balls to know what to do. There is a half left to play. Then just give up. Put Garropolo in. If we are going to win this game we need some balls and need to take chances.
People here are pissed that the team doesn't want to try and put points on the board before haftime with 1:57 and two time outs. The last 15 years has no bearing on me being pissed about thatpeople here are calling pats names like they are a perennially scared and chicken **** team with a chicken **** coach who always has done this for 15 yrs. un believable.
If brady got sacked with that oline or fumbled or if the D got on the field with 1 min to play you will blame the 17th string left tackle or bostic or any of other scrubs that are playing. Just look who is playing for us.
Belichick doesn't have confidence in the o-line and wants to keep Brady healthy for the playoffs. IMO, he wants to win this game but likes his chances to beat a Miami team that has thrown in the towel.
