The National Football Post | Pats To Make Play For Asomugha?
i liked jonathan stewart but 7 and then 10 were to high for him. i'm not sure what number he went to carolina at but 14-20 seemed like the right range. losing that second first rounder hurt bad, especially after all our injuries.
1st round is too high for a running back in general. Look at the best RB in this year's draft, Matt Forte. He was, what, a 3rd rounder?
Two things:
(1) PFW is not exactly noted for its sterling accuracy.
(2) Jokeland may well slap the exclusive franchise tag on Asomugha again.
I'd say Johnson has been the best RB, and he was a first rounder.

johnson was a second rounder no?
also, the thread is for the past draft, sry for not clarifying...
I don't know how much Cardinals you watch, but he looks pretty bad every time I've seen him play.
Johnson was taken in the mid-20's in the first round, definitely.
Not sure what you mean by 'past draft' either?
here is the linkThis is still several years away but I just saw a youtube clip of Barry Sanders JR making a nasty play in high school.
Lets just say that I am willing to change my name to SignBabyBarry
I can't access You tube from work so I will have to add the link later if someone else hasn't after this.
are there any restrictions/rules to how many times you can keep franchise tagging a player, or how it affects the contract? Or can Oakland, so long as they are ok with paying the salary, keep tagging Asomugha and he is stuck even if he wants to go elsewhere?

Yeah, the couple of times I've seen him (admittedly neither were in the last few weeks), he did not look good. Supposedly he's played better of late, but getting an INT or two can cover a multitude of sins.
