WR Erik Davis released

Per BB at the beginning of his press conference this morning.

"We made 2 roster moves yesterday. Released Erik Davis and Martin Gramatica."

Somebody (maybe Reiss) also asked how far they're under the limit.

BB: "I'm not exactly sure, 6 or 7 maybe. I really don't know."

They're actually 5 under the 80 man limit as it stands.

There are 75 active players right now, but 9 NFLE/Bonus exemptions end for the second cutdown tuesday, so 9 cuts must be made to get to 75.

They were at the 80 man limit after signing Seau and Luzar, and cutting Rasby.

After the Arizona game, they cut Gemara Williams. 79.

They traded Brandon Gorin. 78.

They cut Mortensen and Condo. 77, because Mortensen was already NFLE exempt.

They cut Gramatica and Davis. 75.

As of today both the backup specialists have been cut, Gramatica and Condo. All the next cuts involve "real" players.

WR Stone finally returned to practice. He missed a lot of time. I'm willing to bet, he's a nervous cat in the locker room.

Still no Chad Brown, Patrick Pass, Roach, Ventrone, Hill or Jackson.

Except for Jackson most on that list should be worried.
