A few nuggets from pre-game warmups:

OLB Pierre Woods took his reps with the first string at Rosevelt Colvin's spot.

Adalius Thomas and Tedy Bruschi were at ILB.

S Brandon Meriweather was lining up with the second string at safety, as Willie Andrews moved from S to CB.

Sometimes these moves give an indication as to how the Patriots will line up defensively. Yet there have been other times when the team has shown a 3-4 look in warmups and then played the 4-3. So we'll keep an eye on Woods tonight to see if he'll have an expanded role. Also, Meriweather lining up at second-string safety appears to indicate that he's taken a leap up the depth chart over Andrews.

Very interesting and something to keep an eye on tonight.

good for him, i hope he gets his opportunity and produces.

I agree....... Pierre has earned the right to see if he can step up and run with the big dogs. Go get em' P.

Woods had a couple of stormers in the preseason. Maybe he'll have one tonight; I really hope he looks good. Pierre Woods, it just sounds like an OLB. He's earned it excelling on STs.
