1. Because they're a threat
2. Polian/Dungy and their excuses
3. Bad exp with fans
Other than that I don't really dislike any of their players or anything else about the team. I admire how they've built such a great team purely through draft, no big name FA's or trades. I don't mind Manning at all even though I'll root against him vs anyone but Pittsburgh
I agree with and appreciate this response.
When push comes to shove, there are actually other teams I actually hate such as PIT, NYJ, MIA, NYG etc more than my 'dislike' for the Indy Colts. If I had to choose a reason it'd be Polian--plain and simple. Other than that, I really don't have THAT much of a problem with Indy.
As an NFL fan I appreciate what Peyton brings to the game. Rarely does he cross the line with bad trash talk etc, and he really is one of the best ever to play his position. He does actually have a likeable side to him, and I'd have to consider myself quite the hater just to root against him because of his recent success against the Pats. As our rival, many here will dislike him, but I actually appreciate the competitiveness that he has brought. I was impressed when TB went down last year, and Peyton had such gratious things to say about their friendship etc--that made me see him from a different angle.
All that said, I will of course be rooting for the Saints today, but expect Indy to win.
