It'd boost not only his confidence, but the confidence of the team in the new kicker.

Ichiro said:Yeah what happened to Warfield? I've only heard one little negative piece on him. I guess he didn't come in for some off-season teaching and is way behind.
I thought he had a lot of physical skills, and under real coaching (they don't teach fundamentals at KC) he could potentially blossom.
Warfield hasn't done enough to move up the depth chart. Seems to me he's in a serious fight for a roster spot. Haven't spoken with him since the first few days of camp to relay his feelings at this time.
Jones looks better than Warfield to me.

Remember, even a healthy and financially satisfied Deion Branch sat out all the preseason games last year.

Gil and Gino turned on, TV turned down, Reiss' blog open, PatsFans.com chatroom open for Play-by-Play (that's right, I'll be back!)

He is going to be nervous as hell anyway, get him out there and kicking early instead of hanging around on the sideline for almost two hours before he goes out there. Gramatica is probably better suited to sit and come in later at this point. JMO.
