Now that we are in the lull between the season and the draft I thought it would be a good opportunity to take the time and offer a salute and thanx to some of our more appreciated guests. A messageboard consisting of just us "homers" can get a bit "in-bred" without fans from opposing teams coming here to keep us honest. We can all recognize a troll, and we get our share here, but there are others whose contributions I value, even if they cause some discomfort at times. With that in mind I'd like to mention some posters who I want to personally thank for being solid contributors to our board.
My list will be no where all-inclusive, and I hope you all will fill in on those I've missed.
So here goes:
Ryan the Colt Fan has to be at the top of the list. Even during the years when the Colts came up short, he would never duck out and hide.
Workhorse is another Colt fan who posts solid contributions. Never a troll, and his posts are always well worth reading.
Matter of fact, if it wasn't for Napolian, and the outright media cheerleading for Peyton and the Colts, the Colts may actually be likeable. Until the Colts finally won the SB and a few Colts trolls started appearing, it's amazing how troll-free Colts posters have been considering the intensity of the rivalry.
Two Rams fans JackPMiller and pisa have been solid additions. Particularly interesting when you consider that except for the 1st SB, the Pats and Rams paths rarely cross.
I put Closing Time in the good guy group. He occasionally slips into the trollish dark side, but generally speaking, he offers a valuable perspective from a strong AFC rival.
Considering how things began with the Chargers fans who posted here, I was disappointed in how poorly so many of them turned out. I was disappointed in how poorly they handled losing. I was hoping for better from them.
Through it all though jcdavey has emerged as a good Chargers poster, I hope he continues popping in from time to time.
DisgruntledTunaFan has been a good poster, offering insights from the Cowboys point of view.
This will get things started. I didn't plan to make the list all-inclusive and I hope some of you will add to the list. As I look through the members list I may come back here and add some more. :rocker:
Mods, this was intended for the main forum, please move.
