Wes Welker needs one catch to break Troy Brown's record for catches in a season -- both have 101.

Mike Vrabel needs two sacks to break Andre Tippett's record of 12.5.*

* Inaccurate, corrected below. Sorry!

Mike Vrabel needs two sacks to break Andre Tippett's record of 12.5.

Tippett had 18.5 sacks in 1984 and 16.5 in 1985.

Actually eventhough Vrabel can't break the Pats record with 13 sacks, Vrabel already has 12.5 sacks this season. Apparently Elias went back and credited Vrabel with the sack he wasn't initially awarded.

Thank you, I stand corrected. Vrabel's total is the most SINCE Tippett logged 12.5 in 1987.

We need someone to do an "official what a player needs to break a record" Checklist for this game :)
