What I find mind boogling is how some people hate on Ochocinco like he punched out their mother. He hasn't lived out to his paycheque, but he is good insurance in case Branch or Welker go down. From all reports all he has done is bust his ass on the practice field and be a team player since he got to New England - is that not "the Patriot Way?"

How do you know he's good insurance? Because as someone said he got good seperation? He gets good seperation when no one is really covering him and/or the defense blows their assignment....and then he gets so darn excited he steps out of bounds for no apparant reason. Ah, smart football! The Patriot Way!

How do you know he's busting is butt inpractice? Because other people say so? Other people say Randy Moss was a model citizen in the lockerroom too. How did that work out? Yah, it worked out The Patriot Way!

Some people seem to be personally offended that a player would DARE to have a roster spot on their favorite team and not do exactly what they thought that player would be here to do. Yes, let's cut him immediately because he's not catching a bunch of passes every game, even though he hardly has any chance because as the third receiver on a team that mainly runs 2 TE 2 WR 1 RB sets he's not going to get a lot of snaps to begin with.

Bingo.. at this rate our O is going, let him take this regular season to get in to gear. But he better show up big in post season if his number is called

The way it works here is if you don't get it in gear in the regular season your number isn't gonna get called in the post season...

Like Mike Reiss opined in his mailbag this week, what they planned on didn't work. The $6M in signing bonus and 2011 salary is sunk cost. He remains at best marginal insurance down the stretch in the event Branch gets hurt. It is what it is...

As good as Brady has been this year, the defense suprisingly has bailed him out of some games, but its a good thing if they can win games while having an off day offensively, unlike last year. Just like how the Steelers and Ravens sometimes win games.

You would think this would be the game where Ochostinko breaks out.Against the lousy colts.I am still surprised at how useless this guy has been.

There seemed to be some momentum in Ochocinco's favor the last few weeks, with the NYJ game being the high point.

But with the scratch on Sunday, and the offense having its best execution in weeks, he seems less and less a factor.

It's unfortunate. Clearly the team would not have invested so much in him had they thought he'd be nothing more than depth.

I don't fault Ocho too much for stepping out of bounds, Brady's throw led him that way and momentum did the rest.

Reporters, coaches and Brady have all said he is working hard. What else can he do Garbanzo? If he is on the field for 10 snaps and Brady doesn't look his way when he is open, that's not his fault. He doesn't have good chemistry with Brady, it's not the first time that has happened with a WR coming to New England.

By all accounts he shows up to meetings, works hard and doesn't cause problems, yet there are several posters on here who refer to him a POS which is ridiculous. I'll take 5 Ochos rather than one Rolando McClain.

I dont get how a player so inconsequential as our #3 WR garners so much hate...we seemed fine the last 2 weeks without him

anyways, If ocho cant get it going against the Colts Ive lost hope for the guy..we need to get him some significant reps tomorrow.

I dont think Ocho's problems in this offense are anything to do with his athletic abilities. its clearly mental and being able to understand the coverage, how to change his route and know where the other WR's are going to be as well.

I think its important we get either Ocho, Underwood or Price some reps these last 5 games because we ARE going to need a receiver who can play the sidelines in the playoffs against teams that play the middle
