Interesting that in a middle of a lockout, one of the most prominent players decides to get arrested over eight beers.
A time where the players are suppose to not look greedy. Vrabel "steals" eight beers.
Who teaches these guys PR?
Who the hell goes to Indiana to party and go to Casinos??
Especially if you have professional athlete jingle!
What a ree-tahd!
I have a gambling problem- I never win.....except at the Indiana, Ohio River casinos. The way they are setup on the river creates good competition and they do have pretty good payouts.
The riverboat casinos are actually pretty fun and this one is an easy day drive from where he lives. Maybe Mike Vrabel is confident enough that he can interact with the flyover types.
Then again, a player rep participating in a PR war with owners probably shouldn't be out gambling and drinking at 5:30am...
Yeah, except this is Mike Vrabel, not ordinary guys and gals like us. He can go to most casino's and get his alcohol fully comped, as well as a comped room if he promises to tell his teammates that he had a good time at their casino.
Taking 8 beers at 5:30 am is pretty stupid. Then again, a player rep participating in a PR war with owners probably shouldn't be out gambling and drinking at 5:30am...
I agree on the the stupidity of the actions.
My post was in response do someone questioning going to Indiana vs say Vegas/ Atlantic City or Foxwoods.
My point is the riverboats are pretty fun and the numerous family members I did take to them compared the boats favorably to Foxwoods and Mohigan Sun.
Vrabel was a go to guy for the media when he was with the Patriots, and he is still a go to guy for the KC media and the national media. The way I've heard Felger and the local media brush this off like it's no big deal is sickening. They're simply sticking up for their binky. Vrabel has a big mouth and I hope he's prosecuted.
The Patriots, Krafty and Belichick, saved this guy from a career of obscurity in Pittsburgh. He wins three SB rings with the Pats, gets some nice contract(s), then he has the nerve to make his shopping mall comment in reference to Krafty paying the players/Patriot Place comment a year or two ago.
The way the media has been defending him is pathetic...I hope more stories of Vrabel being a dbag come out...just because the media loves the guy...
The envy and hatred for Patriots players past and present from JETS fans knows no bounds
Who really should be? But we all do it from time to time.
...
Also, if Brandon Meriweather had done this, people would be freaking out over how terrible of a person he is. Since it's Vrabel, it's, if anything, funny that something so asinine could be considered a felony. Funny how this forum works sometimes.
Bartender is obviously a bitter Colts fan still upset over the Pats dominance of the Colts during Vrabels time with the Pats.
Who really should be? But we all do it from time to time. Gambling and Casinos bring out the best in us.
His only mistake was not going to Vegas because we all know what happens there stays there
You know...I'm accustomed to posters brushing off bad-boy behavior from draft prospects as "Hey, who didn't do stupid stuff like that when they were 19?"
But it's somehow less persuasive as "Hey, what married, 35-year-old man with a couple of kids at home doesn't find himself stealing beers from a riverboat casino at 5:00 a.m. on a school day?" (Gotta feel bad for the young Vrabel boys, that's seriously embarrassing.)
