if he understands the offense, I hope we continue to get this kid snaps...Troy brown said he thinks hes going to have more catches the last 4 games than Ocho.

Gaffney also had some interesting comments that may show Ocho just still doesnt get it.

Lots of praise for the guy from Brady. Usually when Brady gets asked about players, he's just like, "Yep. He certainly is... on our roster."

Why can't we just find a friggin 6'4 220lb athletic monster of a WR whose smart. Our 5'8 slow midgets the only ones capable of picking up our offense?

Agreed, I was a big Gaffney fan, he was always very clutch.

Because they are rare and expensive...and tend not to be as driven or detail oriented because they've gotten by on their superior athletic ability for some time... It tends to be second tier WR's who succeed here because they've got more to prove and are used to having to and used to not having much margin for error or nearly as much leeway to coast once they do.

I really think the Pats should be able to put together a receiver aptitude test that receivers need to pass before the Pats even draft or sign a receiver. You can catch passes like Jerry Rice, be faster than Randy Moss, and stronger than Calvin Johnson, hell you can be a combo of all of the above, but if you can't figure out the system, you're a waste signing (Ocho, Galloway, Donald Hayes, etc) or a waste draft pick (Jackson, Price, etc).

Underwoods actually got some good athletic fundamentals..similar to prices. the one knock on him was that hes not the strongest (7 reps of 225). Kid can be a burner though

we need to keep getting this kid snaps, although I wonder why we hung on so long to price/Ocho who obviously didnt understand the offense. and only now sign this kid who might actually get it

Supposedly Uber Bust Chad Jackson passed an in person quiz with BB with flying colors. But in the real world you have a second or so to process the info and make the right decision.

I do think quickness trumps other attributes in our offense. we still have tremendous tight ends, though.

It's not like the 3 million guaranteed that Denver paid him was a real cap-buster.

It could have saved draft picks and avoided the Ocho experience.

Was watching a couple vids on youtube of em, he has a slender build almost looks like a minnie moss(physique wise).

if Branch or welker get injured I don't see Ocho picking up the slack. be nice to see underwood have some success this season.

What type of production is expected at the #3 spot, 2-4 catches per game? Watching Ocho all season I forgot what a number 3 actually does, lmao.
