Nice to see they might allow tackling in the NFL again.

Worse than this, Wilfork showed a DVD to Goodell and the DVD

showed Wilfork did nothing wrong in the Denver game but the

commissioner fined him $50,000 anyway for past acts of aggression.

Goodell is about as unfair as any commissionor ever in sports..when his behind goes..I will be one of many millions celebrating his demise..

"Not every penalty deserves a fine, and this is one of them," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said.

Tell that to Goodell.

Aiello is such an apologist tool. He lost any shred of credibility when he reviewed the PI penalty on Hobbs vs the Colts where the Colts WR was behind Hobbs and ran up Hobbs' back and Hobbs got called. He needed to simply acknowlege that the ref made a bad call. Instead he issued a convoluted BS rationalization. He's simply a PR flack for the league.

Sure he should appeal, why not? He's got nothing to lose.

OMG isn't it obvious that Goodell is a huge NY-homer?

That is why he is known as Roger "Jets" Goodell.....

Gosh darn hypocrite!!!

Goodell is probably posturing for when the CBA is renegotiated. The NFLPA will undoubtedly want an arbitrator for fines and such. If Goodell can prove that he is in fact a 'fair' (at least for now) mediator, the NFLPA will have less grounds to demand an unbiased arbitrator.

It just so happens he probably thinks "well, if I HAVE to overturn a fine, it'll be for an NY team"
