I haven't seen him play a down of professional football yet, but I hope Ebert is somewhere on this list.

He was lining up wrong and making wrong decisions last year. I really don't want to talk about it. We supposedly want players that are concentrating 100% on football, at least during the season. He is the antithesis of that player.

Since you think it matters, I've wanted him gone a long time, so it doesn't to me.

If it doesn't matter, why are you using it as an excuse to bash the guy? He gave enough ammo last season that something that's as close to a non-issue as this shouldn't be needed.

No, it will be about a lot more (or less) than that having happened (or not happened) over the course of a full season plus. But how you perform in these OTA's does matter, especially as it relates to the QB and WR's building rapore and if you appear to be making the same mental mistakes you made the previous season. Mental errors - not to mention repetitive ones - are after all one of coaches personal bugaboos.

Players screw up in OTAs and training camp all the time, and they end up taking laps. Johnson's nowhere near the first, and he won't be anywhere near the last. A lot of people have an axe to grind with Johnson, I get that. I'm just talking about the absolute stupidity of using this particular OTA day as some proof of:

Johnson STILL doesn't get it
Johnson didn't study
Johnson's all about the media

None of the above are shown by what happened.

I don't like him. He's an attention ho. I think he's a distraction to other players who are trying to concentrate only on getting better. I think he's a bad example for young players, in that respect. I truly believe if he was just some guy he would have been cut mid season, I don't like favoritism. If he was on the Jets, we would have threads laughing at him but, unfortunately, he's on our team.

1.) Please name the players that have been distracted by Mr. Johnson.

2.) Brady, Gronk, and player after player do all sorts of things besides concentrating on getting better. Please explain why Mr. Johnson should be required to be the exception to this rule.

So your real answer is "Nobody that I know of, but I'll just make it up as I go along". What a surprise.

I've come to the conclusion that RayClay is just a troll

I don't like him. He's an attention ho. I think he's a distraction to other players who are trying to concentrate only on getting better. I think he's a bad example for young players, in that respect. I truly believe if he was just some guy he would have been cut mid season, I don't like favoritism. If he was on the Jets, we would have threads laughing at him but, unfortunately, he's on our team.
That's just ridiculous. With every post your credibility goes down on this particular topic. Given his disappointing start to his Pats career he'd have surprised no one if he had blown up at some time last season. Instead he kept his head down and went about his business in a purely professional manner. By all accounts he practiced hard and was a great teammate.

This is a guy who has caught more than 11,000 freakin' passing yards. He's paid his dues, and earned his respect....ON THE FIELD. It's wasn't his fault that the Pats paid him too much money, or gave away draft picks for his services. Yet for some reason the haters expect us to blame for THAT too. Its not altogether his fault that his skills don't seem to be compatible to this offense.

For some reason you seem to be blinded to the fact that DESPITE the poor season, Chad has conducted himself in every manner as well as any Patriots player, and a "media ho" is the LAST thing that should be attributed to his name. Maybe in the the past, but while he was a Patriot, he has conducted himself well.

I don't know if he will make this team. The competition is truly great at the position. However I know that Ocho deserves a chance to compete and as Pats fans, we should reward the effort by rooting for him to be as good as he can be.....and let the chips fall where they may.

Ocho wll end up being either making the team and a contribution, or being trade bait in late August. Those who would cut him after an OTA are stupid to want to get rid of what could be an asset down the road one way or the other.

I've come to the conclusion that RayClay is just a troll
No that's just not true. Ray may have a blind spot on this particular topic, and I couldn't disagree more with his opinion and his lack of perspective in his responses to this thead, BUT Ray is a generally is a quality poster and a passionate fan.... NOT a troll

If RayClay is a troll than I am a gigantic ogre....

You asked a question you know no one outside of the tight lipped organization could answer, if that, so i gave you an equally silly answer.

Yes. It's a team and a distraction is a distraction to the team. Simple.

Has he finished taping for his TV show, do you know?

It's nice and shady under this bridge, what's wrong with that?

Here's Oucho buckling down to a laser like focus on football, to the exception of everything else, for OTAs.

The point is that you have no idea whether or not it's a distraction to the team, any more than you know if Gronk's appearances, or Brady's appearances, or anyone else's appearances are distractions.

You're just pulling this out of your ass.

It's a distraction to me and I'm just posting on a messageboard and reading google news.

I may have exaggerated when I said all you do is troll, but the way you are going on about Chad with accusations of being a distraction to the entire team with no evidence is misguided. If Ochocinco is a distraction to you he is a distraction to the team? Give me a break.

I am sincere in disliking him, his act, his performance (football), his lack of stated resolve to make up for his performance and the fact he is still on the team, which would make me annoying perhaps, but not a troll.

I have no doubt you are sincere in disliking him, but the reasons you state are childish. His act? Tell me what he has done in New England that you think his act is? He has not had any on-field antics reminiscent of his days as a Bengal walking out with the future hall of fame jacket, if you think him being on Twitter is his act than I can point out a lot more NFL players, including many Patriots who are on Twitter also. His performance? I'll give you that one, but that is one that he was disappointed in himself after last season also. His lack of resolve? Where does he show this lack of resolve? If he had lack of resolve he would be off the team just like Haynesworth. And still being on the team? That is one that can only be layed on BB if anyone, Bill could cut him any time he wants, but he doesn't because Bill knows more than you and Bill wants to give Chad his shot at the roster during camp just like anybody else.

He'll be spending the whole summer preparing for and filming a TV show about his wedding, culminating in September (football season).

Call me old fashioned, but a Patriots that had as miserable a season as he in the past would be determined to spend extra time working, keeping quiet and focusing 100% on football.

Not making videos about losing your starbucks card.

Not sending letters to the commissioner that are disrespectful (as much as i hate Goodell, writing a letter to "dad" is juvenile).

And making fun of Junior Seau's suicide, or is he talking about something else?

Dear Dad,
I know it has been a rough week, so I wanted to reach out. Players dying, players suing and on top of that my peers are just going off on you in the media.

I guess some people think that is cute or funny, I don't. I should be glad that his narcissistic personality disorder is keeping him from acting like a Patriot and redoubling his efforts so as not to embarrass himself again, which likely ensure's he's a short timer.
