The raiders aren't a joke because davis sued the league and lost, they're a joke because he was old and senile at the end. He was incapable of running the organization, and left no one with any ability in charge to take over after he was gone.Hah! Well done!
Yes - the Raiders are indeed the shining example of what a quality franchise is all about!
Hey - if there's Patsfans who wanted to see Kraft lose a $1.2 billion lawsuit like Davis did (and that was what, the mid-1990s?) and think that has no impact on the organization - or think that the NFL losing it's anti-trust exemption has no impact on the Patriots, that's fine
But Davis' issues regarding location of franchises is one thing - Kraft was looking at undermining the legal aspects that have helped make him and every owner billionaires
Honestly I don't know all the ramifications of what a Kraft led lawsuit against the NFL would mean in terms of unintended consequences - but as you note so sardonically well, the Raiders are a joke of a franchise and that's the LAST example I'd want to see the Patriots folllow
