I know most of you don't respect my opinion, but I'm going to give it to you anyway.

Everyone is focusing on the Pats own miscues and thinking if they hadn't happened they may have won the game. That is true, but you also have to look at the other side of the coin. The Steelers had several drops. these include but not limited to Holmes big drop in the first half, and washington dropping a TD in the 2nd half. They were at least 2 dropped int's as well by the Steelers. This doesn't even mention 2 really bad spots the Steelers received that cost them a first down and probably a TD. Reed also missed a FG.

My point is you can't point out the mistakes on one side and not the other. The reality is the Steelers didn't play as well as they are capable either.

The second-half Patriots might have. The first-half Patriots wouldn't.

    Go away DOG.

Take your victory and hit the road.
PATs had to hand you the game for the win.
Come back when PATs aren't crippled.

I didn't see the game, but I would assume the Steelers D probably played a good game. Maybe the offense didn't play up to snuff, but it looks like they put up the points when the oppurtunities where there (Pat's fumbles and int's). It was 20-10 before most people were probably back in their seats, and that killer Steeler's defense just pinned back their ears and came after Cassel after they got a 2 score lead. Much easier to take chances on D with a 10 point lead. The Steelers play D the way i wish the Pats did, but also, I don't think the Pats have the talent on D the Steelers do. You are probably right, it could have been much worse, maybe 45-10.

What the post is saying is that pittsburgh played poorly and still won. You people are thinking that they played well, they didn't. had they played well they would have scored 50 points and given up zero.

And, to play Devil's advocate for a moment, if you simply take the rain away, the Patriots might very well have won that game.

Do we have to have and hear excuses and whining everytime the team loses,Some of you are neausiating...

The Rain ect:..What a bunch of BS crap

The Steelers played near mistake free football in terms of turnovers,What do some of you not understand? - You don't make mistakes and you usually almost always win,The Pats were pathetic on turnovers and Cassel had no idea where the pass rush was coming from

James Harrison made a b!tch out of Matt Light

Case closed,STFU and move on to Seattle

In what universe? The offensive gameplan for the Patriots was working fine in the first half and the Steelers got gouged for 81 yards on the ground. Even the most biased observer has to accept the fact that playing from behind, specifically down two TDs had Moss held on to the ball, changes your options on offense in the second half.

And I haven't heard fans saying the Steelers played flawless football that game. It more sounds like the Patriots making a ton more mistakes that cost them the game.

But keep your 50-0 dream alive. I hope these teams meet again this season and we can relive the glory of 2004 and the Steelers' playoff beating after a convincing regular season win against the Pats.

You are missing the point. Ben had an unforced int. That gave you 7 points. Holmes dropped a pass inside the 10. Washington dropped a td pass. Troy dropped an int. Taylor dropped an int. Heath Miller dropped a pass. These are just a few of the many mistakes that the Steelers made. You people act like you can wipe away your mistakes and the opponent can't.

Be careful with the "you people," Dog.

Yes, the Steelers made a good number of mistakes in the first half. And the Pats capitalized on at least some of them. But I don't know that I'd call it their worst performance of the year.

As I said above, though, I wish the weather had been better, so that we could see what these two teams were really capable of.

The way the Patriots played, the Steelers should have scored 50. Their offense stinks. An injury riddled Pats team made a game of it until all of those turnovers. I'd shudder at what the score would be if the Pats were healthy.

its sad we have to resort to weather related arguments like the domed colts. fewyrs back we wouldve loved this weather. post moss era we are worried about a little bit of wind or rain. this isnt the patriots identity we won with.

I think the defense is good, obviously one of the best in the league, but very vulnerable. A team with a good oline can exploit the Steelers. The Steelers are also injury-riddled. The way the Steelers played the Pats should have won big. The Steelers had many unforced errors on offense and didn't play nearly as well as normal defensively.
My problem with some of you is you act like you can fix things in a vacuum. There are things that happen with other teams as well.

I don't care to take on some of your other points, but what is this B.S. about "unforced" errors/interception? This isn't Tennis. Vrabel jumped up and plucked the ball out of the air and was a damn good play.

So it's speaks to the opponents ability more if he threw the int because he was being chased around? I don't see the difference, the opposing defense intercepted him. If it was tipped off the hands of a receiver (and it was catchable) that is one thing, but you have no argument with this "unforced" nonsense with Vrabel's int.
