I know this is beating a dead horse, but I was listening to ESPN radio (this is local Seattle radio, but John Clayton's segment) and got so mad I had to post.
Clayton was talking about how Rex Ryan was being aggressively being interviewed by the Boston media. He takes it as an opportunity to bash the Patriots again on deflategate.
I'm paraphrasing what he said:
<BEGIN CLAYTON PARAPHRASE>
The New England media has been aggressive since deflategate. They were all over Chris Mortenson for not retracting a report when he had a scoop. He was right. The balls WERE deflated. He posted some PSI numbers and there was some scientific discussion of it, but Chris did a great job!
<END CLAYTON PARAPHRASE>
I was just shocked at the level of ignorance of national ESPN media. I used to think a lot of it was ESPN trying to stay in good graces with the NFL, but that was just so uninformed that I don't believe that anymore.
I've said on here many times that I don't believe the Wells report could withstand any independent scrutiny. I can't think of anyone who argues the NFL's side who doesn't argue in circles. And, I understand most fans won't read everything -- just like I didn't on bullygate. But, those comments from someone who covers the NFL for a living -- it's just incomprehensible.
Vent over.
I hope everyone hasan ESPN LIES sign on hand, 70,000 of them.
I cannot believe ESPN is allowed to broadcast, without warning, explicit frontal shots of a man's deformed penis, merely because it happens to be John Clayton's face.

I know you were joking but some people have no choice. On my daily bus ride I have 3 choices. Jesus is LORD, Portuguese language radio, or ESPN Radio.
