SI: Gillete Stadium #2 toughest place to play

The home team's record is certainly imposing.

But i wouldn't have guessed the crowd, etc. provide the second most challenging environment
in which to be a visiting team.

That's a fun read with photos but I don't feel it's a real good attempt at defining the stadium and fans, who are the major factors in making a list like that. All the top stadiums in the list have teams that are recently successfull. But, it's still a good read anyways.

only problem about Gillete is the lakc of noise by the fans, but that was adressed last year

Without even looking I'd have to think Denver is at least #3 but should be #1.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a season ticket holder and go to most of the games....but the reason Gillette is a tough place to play is because of what is on the field/sidelines.

Take the Saints team and coaching staff and put them in Gillette, and I don't think SI would be rating the Razor #2. The weather only comes into play, maybe 1-2 times per year (2-3 max).

The line for the RCA Dome just cracked me up:
The RCA Dome is the perfect track for the Colts to run wild. Peyton Manning & Co. are especially comfortable playing on turf and they've lost just two regular-season games there over the last two seasons.

Ah yes. Kings of the regular season. :D :D

When I started looking at the slideshow, I figured Denver would be #2 and Arrowhead would be #1. There's no way Arrowhead isn't #1, that place is psychotic.

I would have thought that Arizona would be the toughest place to play because it blows your mind when you come out of the locker room and you see all the fans, wearing your team colors and rooting for YOU and you think you missed the plane and are at your own stadium..Mind boggling.
