I don't think this impacts a team like the Jets at all in their draft thoughts. They know they can't bet on this talk being true. If they want to get Leinart, the only way to be sure is to jump in front of Tennessee - just like before.
Here's what it does - it makes it harder for the Jets to get to 2. They've created competition. Now teams (say Oakland) who covets Young are probably talking to NO. They now think they may need to get to #2 to get their guy. The price of the Jets going up to 2 and grabbing probably got higher and the Titans hope is maybe now they are unwilling to pay it.
