actually, you need help in the research department

the pats rushed for 3165 yards in 1978........but what was more impressive was rushing for 2900 plus yards in 1976.....only a 14 game schedule

the rushing game was decent last year, but it was not very dependable

And that 3165 yards was the most ever by any team. I agree the 2900+ was more impressive in the 14 game format.

more 2009 domination empathy!! Can't wait for the draft and the season to start!!

This article got me more pumped than I already am!

It's really nice to read an article that isn't full of hate for our team!

Even the hateful one's rock...

"lol - old defense" - misinformed
"lol - lost to the Giants" - jealous they're team will never even play the SB
"lol - cheaters" - Bleacher Report and/or message board geeks (like us, but less smarter)

Yeah we set a franchise record for rushing yards last year.....guy needs little help in the research department.
Say what?!? Go back and look at the Pats rushing stats in the late 70s. Last year wasn't even close.

Apparently you only read the first page of this thread, thanks.

4.4 ypc, 142.4 ypg, both 6th best in the league and that 1st % which I assume to mean the number of rushes leading to first downs, they led the league at 28%............

61 more rushes than 2007, mostly because of Brady's injury. Still a pretty good running game - imagine if they had an exceptional RB.
