Chiefs | S. Knight released Wed, 21 Mar 2007 22:04:10 -0700 Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the Kansas City Chiefs have released S Sammy Knight. The release came after the two sides could not agree on a reworked contract. Sorry if someone already mentioned it. Probably wouldn't sign with the Pats, but a small possibility. I'm sure he wants to be a starter and there is no way that would happen. But he would be nice insurance if Rodney was to go down again, for a good price that is (which will also not happen since he didn't want to rework his contract). Anyway, he is going to be 32 this year, but has hardly had any injuries at all throughout his entire career (I believe he only missed 2 games and that was his second year in the league). Probably won't happen, but just thought it would be worth a mention.
