they would have never won that game on sunday!!"

This came on the "HOT SEAT" and where he also said he thinks "this is the most overblown topic right now." And the league should just "fine him $50,000 dollars and move on"
    -------------------------------------------------------------

From watching this guy a few times today you can tell he really thinks this entire thing is BS.

I just wish that it was someone other than Salisbury in NE's corner. He is not exactly the best sharpest tool in the shed.

Certainly no dumber than Schlereth, though.

Come now, Schlereth is the biggest homer and it's all about him and the Broncos legacy. All about the 250,000 knee surgeries he had. Peeing in his jock and drinking it later was his last claim to own the spotlight one more time. That guy is a homer and a Pat's hater all the way.

Comparing the two is apples and oranges.

An important note to SportsCenter's coverage - on the segment leading up to Salisbury, they spot-shadowed the same video guy on the Jets sideline, the same picture that's been all over this board since yesterday - insinuating that he was the culprit.

Lots of opinions and reports floating around out there - and a lot to sift through to make a solid determination on this issue.

We started a pretty good rumor then, because there's no way in hell that was the guy.

Salsbury has been pretty good. He was against the Patriots in '04 though. After the Patriots demolished the Colts he picked them the rest of the way.

I respect Salsbury, and he's right. This is overblown.

Well, I agree that Salisbury isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but is ANYONE who is writing these reactionary columns and spouting off "expert" opinions? NOBODY is exactly a rocket scientist. I mean, I certainly wouldn't put Terrell Davis, Rod Woodson, or anyone of these "national columnists" on any level above Salisbury.

I'm happy Salisbury is so adament about it. It's done, everyone knows it's done, just assess the penalty and move the hell on. It's the most sensible thing I've heard in the media on this topic.

What kind of just irks me is these 4 yahoo's I was watching on espn today saying BB should be suspended for 4 games. Held accountable the same as if a player takes performance enhancing drugs. And to top it off they wanted draft picks as well.

I saw this too. What was great about it was you had that idiot Skip Bayless opposite Salisbury and Salisbury absolutely destroyed him. Bayless kept going on about 4 game suspension, bunch of draft pics, ect...and that he was worse that roids because he affected the integrity of the game. Salisbury shut him down basically saying it's not a big deal, the only wrong was the camera..fine them 50k for video equipment and move on.

If BB gets suspended and the PATS lose draft picks, then the Bengals, Titans and Falcons should lose picks too.

Watch these teams get their players in order then.

Re: Salisbury: "Even if all the jets players were on steriods...

There are a lot of guys who have similar beliefs. Both Tiki and Ronde Barber agreed on their Sirius show that everyone does it and everyone knows about it. Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilburn both agreed it wasn't a big deal on PTI. Kornheiser even said that if he was a player and if he didn't have a ring and he saw the Pats cheating, he would cheat too. John Czarnecki over at Fox Sports says that cheating goes on all the time in the NFL (see link below). Adam Schein over on Sirius NFL radio doesn't think it is a big deal.

Most of the people in the Pats' corner aren't getting the attention because it doesn't sell in the media. Making the Pats' trangression the worst thing since the Chicago Black Sox scandal gets ratings.

I was suprised when I heard Salisbury say that. He usually takes a tough guy stance for transgresions just like Stink does. I thought it was funny when I heard Stink's stance considering how he got his name. While not the same level of getting a competitive edge, wetting your pants so the other team didn't want to be near you is pretty lame.

    this is how ESPN operates
one day they ask schelereth to talk junk
next day he is gone and salisbury comes to talk

when will they bring them both together ?

Stink has no right to talk. He played on a team that was fined and docked a third round pick for playing games with the cap. He also played on an offensive line famous for illegal chop blocks that ended a few players' seasons and even careers.

I still say the excuse runnig rampant around this forum is indicating to me the same crap over and over again said by some of you guys "Every Team Is Doing It"

Someone who feels that "Becasue everyone else is doing it,it is justified" then Answer me these many questions...

Does that make it right because everyone else is doing it?- Isn't this team better than most? - Isn't this team above most other NFL organizations in terms of being well coached and well organized?

With all of the talent on this roster is it really necessary to illegally grab defensive calls from your opponent when its not needed? - Do we really need to do this to win - If not why did this happen - Does BB not have faith that the offense can get the job done without reading opponents coaches hands?

Someone enlighten me to why this is happening or why it was carried out?

I have said in every single one of my posts since Monday, and I still stand behind them 100%, this is just no big deal.

It will be no big deal even if they suspend BB for 3 games and take away our #1 draft pick. Football is a cheating game. Guys spit on one another & punch other guys in the gut every single game. So, it's just no big deal.

Now, IF the league does punish the Pats severely, that doesn't MAKE it a big deal, it will just be a case of unjust punishment and making an example of the Pats. So no matter what the league says, the FACT is and always will be "THIS IS NOT A BIG DEAL"...end of story.
