Rumors - NE interested in Allen Robinson

you're assuming someone wants to pay Agholor $11M when Robinson can be had in the 13-14m range...?
Agholor is under contract and can be traded for $10M.

who the heck wants him after last year though 473yds very underwhelming new system or not he was active for most games.

Would love if we could find ourselves a Chase. Might be tough at #21….
RMoss was drafted at #21. Now we just need to find another tall, fast freak with major question marks from an FCS school.

We should have thrown it to him then. 25 less targets than the previous year. Also ask yourself how many deep shots we took with him. Not many. He was getting the same separation and running the same routes. He wasn't the problem.

Jones needs a #1, not more 2’s 3’s, and 4’s. Robinson is the only # in free agency. The only other option is to get it in the first round of the draft. They shouldn’t waste money in guys like Valdez-Scantling or Chark. they have enough of those guys already.

The #1 has to come through the draft IMO

We have to make it happen.
If not it has to be Williams in the draft.

He had a rookie qb who’s learning curve issue was coming off his primary target too soon before the deeper routes could develop. Considering the offense was as productive as any has been with a rookie QB, it was a workable negative and hopefully the area the year 2 leap develops from.

I’ve often said that he is amongst the alltime greatest HC. I’ve suggested people can’t name 5 GMs that were better and I suspect you’ll not be able to find 5 greater GMs than BB.

Last two years he's gotten back on track. But he's made quite a few poor drafts which lead us to needing to spend last year to bring in talent. And we still have several holes.

The 2019 and 2020 rosters were so devoid of talent and possibly a large part of what lost us Brady.

Now last couple drafts have been good. Hopefully that continues and we can find Mac a true #1. Because the league is changing into a more offensive focused league.

It's np coincidence that the jumps in play from Josh Allen and burrow occured with the addition of elite receivers. Even as a rookie, last year should prove you can't 100% rely on defense and running to win. At some point a team hits you in the mouth and you need to go score for score

Terrible signing, he’s had 1 good season in his career. He can’t beat a #1 corner to save his life. If the Patriots had a true #1 then Agholor might improve by playing against the opposing #2 corner, but without that he’s almost worthless.

No he isn’t, he’s a #2 at best. Signing him would only add another JAG, and so nothing for this team,

When he's actually played Chark has shown #1 potential.

In 2019 he was most responsible for making the Jags with Minshew competitive.

He just hasn't been healthy. Like Allen Robinson this year.

His best season is 73 receptions, that’s not a #1 receiver, and the Patriots are already stocked with 2’s and 3’s. What they need is a true #1, who will push the others down the depth chart and give them better match ups. Mac Jones isn’t Brady, and unless they get him some real help at WR this team is going nowhere. Don’t believe me, just ask Dante Scarnnechia, who said the same thing. If they spend any money on a WR who isn’t a true #1 then it’s a complete waste of $ and cap space.

Sometimes statistics don't tell the complete story.

There were literally no other WRs (C. Conley career avg 400 yards per season and Dede Westbrook career 357 yds per season were the two best) and Minshaw was the QB. He was a second year WR facing double coverage and had zero help.

A #1 WR is one who makes a difference and he did that year.
