No news on the third player
God be with them
RotoWorld says one Lion and two Raiders.
Then they are really in trouble
Tasteless, but this made me lol.
Thanks! I hope we hear something(Good) soon.
who wants to be the gumshoe that figures out which 3 players from those teams went to college together?
Marquis Cooper, Corey Smith and Nick Skyler
Coast Guard is searching for four missing boaters
On a side note, it has been very cold here (for this area) - near freezing - and also very windy.
In addition there was a heavy rainstorm here last night.
Smith and Cooper played together on Tampa a few years ago.
I see. Is Skyler even in the NFL? He doesn't come up in the NFL.com search...
That is horrible news. Going missing or being capsized in mid-sea is one of my worst nightmares... especially in the Gulf. Hopefully everyone is okay and the boat turns up soon with everyone okay.
I do not know if the was his first name, but wasn't there a Skyler who played for LSU and was a kick returner in the NFL for a while (also WR). Dallas at one point? Skyler Greene?
I hope all is OK as well...brings to minf what happened with Hill two years ago...only this time it is 3 players...HOPES that they are found alive and OK
He was on the Saints PS last year. He is also Jarvis Green's cousin!!!!!
That is Skyler Green.
I know. Which is who is mentioned in the post I quoted
Two NFL players missing on fishing boat
Corey Smith (Detroit) and Marquis Cooper (Raiders) among the missing on a boat off the Gulf Coast.. Doesn't sound good..

Just got back last night from the Gulf. Big waves. Cold weather. Global Warming has given us 10+ degrees below normal all winter.
I hope they are ok.
Got a bad feeling........ I hope I'm wrong.

Whoever that captain was should have his head examined if he returns. If they are able to survive (highly unlikely at this point) the captian needs his ticket pulled. You never, ever, ever take a 21 out in anything over 3-5's unless you're real good, have plenty of fuel balast and are solo. Taking four people out in a 21 during a 25kt norwesterly is just asking for problems.
Re: Two NFL players missing on fishing boat
The weather has not been very good in this area. Cold temperatures, very windy, relatively high seas, rain storm last night. There's no way a 21 foot boat should have been that far off shore in this weather.
UPDATE: boat found and amazingly at least one person survived.
Report: Nick Schuyler found clinging to boat - Bay News 9
Not good if the other guys got separated from the boat, with those waves for that long.
CNN is talking about it right now.
