Just got back last night from the Gulf. Big waves. Cold weather. Global Warming has given us 10+ degrees below normal all winter.

Got a bad feeling........ I hope I'm wrong.

Whoever that captain was should have his head examined if he returns. If they are able to survive (highly unlikely at this point) the captian needs his ticket pulled. You never, ever, ever take a 21 out in anything over 3-5's unless you're real good, have plenty of fuel balast and are solo. Taking four people out in a 21 during a 25kt norwesterly is just asking for problems.

Re: Two NFL players missing on fishing boat

The weather has not been very good in this area. Cold temperatures, very windy, relatively high seas, rain storm last night. There's no way a 21 foot boat should have been that far off shore in this weather.

UPDATE: boat found and amazingly at least one person survived.

Report: Nick Schuyler found clinging to boat - Bay News 9

The Coast Guard has found an overturned boat with one person clinging to it. It's unknown if it's the vessel of four missing boaters.
Tampa General Hospital reports they received a call saying the Coast Guard would be bringing someone to their hospital from a boating incident.

The Coast Guard vessel, Tornado, was traveling from Mississippi on a training exercise, but joined in the search.
Coast Guard officials said another boat has left to aid in the search. Officials said if medical attention is needed, a helicopter will be sent out.

Not good if the other guys got separated from the boat, with those waves for that long.

CNN is talking about it right now.
