Let me wish him good fortune and that this news clip isn't the height of his Patriots career.

Now what asteroid is Florio piloting?

Contract Details:
UPDATE: Aaron Wilson of PFT reports that it's a four-year deal, including a $79,000 signing bonus and the minimum base salaries, along with a potential escalator in year four. The total base value is $1.829 million.
Oops in original post o well

Well, I was going to say that seemed like a pretty high contract for a 6th round pick. However, according to Miguel's numbers for contracts, the minimum salary on a 4 year deal would be 1.69 million. So, the 79K signing bonus is a tad high. And there is, of course, the standard workout bonuses for TC..

And for merits sake, the 79K awfully high considering that Bo Ruud only got 21K last year.

So that's three out of 12, right?

PFT still can't let the Darius Butler thing die.

That is quite a bit of money (of course it could quickly transform into nothing but the signing bonus if the Pats cut him)... I wonder how many of the 12 can actually make the cuts ? Anyone have any predictions ?

I think their problem is that they just can't admit that maybe their source was wrong. Either way, they win. Either the source was wrong and not them, or they are the only one's who are right.

Dumb thing now, is that they are saying that this may be causing delays in signing the other three second-rounders. Now, that's stretching it a bit.

I like Pryor, but when have you seen a Pats draft pick with a tougher road to the 53? Pryor is a pure NT (6'0" 319) looking up at a Pro Bowl caliber starter, another pure NT drafted 6 rounds above him, 2 young vets (Wright & Smith) with NT/DE flexibility, and an all-around deep roster.

You said it. Here's hoping he lands on the PS.

I was watching the 2008 Seahawks game yesterday, and Le Kevin was getting manhandled at the line as a DE with Wright at NT. He was no match against the RT. His main contributions came as part of the kickoff return wedge, which is limited to 2 players this season. Le Kevin may in fact have a tough road to the 53.

Ruud got a signing bonus of $84,900. Prorated over 4 years is 21K.
