Polian whining again...

To be honest with you, the biggest thing that worries me this week is fatigue. After an emotional win against the Chargers, one has to wonder how drained the team may be, and how much energy they have exerted in that win.
That doesn't worry me at all. Win and you're in the Super Bowl. There will be no emotional drain. I was actually more concerned about that last week, with still a (relatively) long road ahead. This week - no problem with emotion.

If anything I think that game will pump them up even more. After the game the local talkers were saying how they wouldn't be suprised at all if the Patriots go into Indianapolis next week and role over the Colts, because of the way the team responded to this game.

Bill Polian has a daily agenda to change the rules so that it favors the Colts. Not that it matters if it benefits the NFL....Just the Colts. I would have no problem with that if Bill Polian was solely employed by the Indianapolis Colts. But he is a primary member of the NFL competition committee. I honestly believe that when he proposes changes to the NFL, he is basically proposing ways to help the Colts- and penalize physical teams- most of all, the New England Patriots.

Yes, this mans hatred towards us is well documented. He has personal issues with us. He crosses lines of proffesionalism.

He is, in the estimation of many in the NFL, a Piece of Donkey refuse.

I hope that his hatred of us has brought the wrath of the football gods upon himself and the Colts. And the price he has to pay: Watching us celebrate on the horshoe at midfield at the end of the game sunday.

I hope we get a set of refs that will let BOTH teams play. It's been really nice so far in the playoffs seeing a little downfield bumping without a 40 yard PI flag being thrown all the time.

No Chance. NFL wants the Colts to win this one.
PATs willl be playing the Clots and the Zebras this week.
I'll be very surprised if the zebras aren't very much a part of this game.
Sad sad day.:(

Polian is already putting not so subtle pressure on the referees, what a pompous jack-ss. I have never heard him in any interview where he did not mention he was part of the "rules committee". What happened to old time football?

Unbelievable.

"The Competition Committee, I know, will talk about it. Ozzie Newsome, the Ravens’ general manager, and myself are two members of the Competition Committee. Anytime you get a game that’s totally field goals, and especially in the playoffs when you do, without question, have the four best teams in the AFC left on that particular weekend, you ought to have more scoring than that. Again, I think it’s something we have to look hard at"

This is old-time football, Shula is the model for using the competition committee to gain an edge. Even Colts fans must be embarrassed by this clown.

I'd like to say that Colt fans ARE embarrased by Polian , but the posters here that are Colt fans love the guy. They defend him and Manning as though the NFL would be nothing if it wasn't for the Colts....

which "local talkers"?

I think Polian is trying to bring attention now in hopes that the refs who do the game will pay more attnetion to that. I see this a trying to lobby for pass interference and holding calls.

This is a classic Phil Jackson psychological maneuver.

except didn't DeOssie pick against the pats this week?

Do you mean for the Chargers game, or the *Colts game?

I don't really listen to predictions anyway, only postgame analysis.

ya i couldn've sworn he picked the chargers and the rest of the guys on the big show were giving him the business for the pick.

Dr. NEM. (DONM) Doctor Of Nutcase Medicine.

Oh, thank God they have a specialist for this now! I have several issues that the regular medical community (damn quacks) couldn't help me with.

In the wintertime, when I'm wearing my flasher overcoat, it's so cold I have trouble exposing myself. I tried using Ontario Smith's Whizzonator but it was the wrong flesh color. What should I do?

What brand of aluminum foil blocks mind reading technology best? Does it work better if I ground the hat with copper wire running down under my boot?

I think this is the year Peyton Manning will win a Super Bowl. Isn't there some type of medication I can take for such delusions?

No wonder we loathe the Colts.

As to the ref thing,it wouldn't surprise me one bit.ESPN was just commenting on how huge this game really is for both Dungy and Manning. If they don't get to the SB this year I don't think there's any way the fans or anyone else is going to buy into anything Colt again. They've done everything to improve the team, rules have been changed, tricks have been pulled, yet they still haven't done it. They badly need to win this game,at home. The calls will be disgusting,I just know it. I can't wait to see who they are.
