WR/TE ****erson added to practice squad - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston
I remember he was on the radar going into the draft for some, myself included.
The circumstances surrounding his departure from Pittsburgh, and the fact that he was already cut by the Texans are disconcerting - but he certainly has intriguing physical talents. Unlike Houston, I doubt we would try to convert him purely to wideout, but use him the way we use Hernandez as a bit of a hybrid guy.
Worth keeping an eye on. Ideally, he provides a good layer of depth behind Hernandez, who is critical to our offense, but has been banged up before.
