I don't disagree with the cuts; I just wonder, why release someone before you have to do it? If it were me, I would hang onto everyone I could, for as long as I could. Play them on Friday, then release them on Monday.

Significance is in the timing of the cut ... not the fact of the cut.

I think they did the something similar with the Gostkowski camp battle didn't they? Doing it a week before you need to is as much a test as a confirmation. "Ok, son, you're the man now, let's see if you can handle that this Friday." They'd still have time to speed dial any number of guys if he crumbles.

Can anyone tell me how to pronounce Baugher? Is it Bow-er, bogger, or bow-ger?

The sock puppets said bogger, but they also said brooshi and Todd Light.

It is pronounced Bogger. I have been suprised that a majority of the announcers have been getting it right. I have known him since kindergarten and he has been called Bower more times than I can count. Our HS PA announcer called him Bower for his entire freshman year.
