i saw a conspiracy too
seemed clear he didn't want AV to try anything.
personally i favor going for it 4th & 2 or less, anyway. heck if you're already down on their 30-something, seee if you can break their backs. it also sez to me that the coach believes his OL can get 4-5 feet of push. for me in HS, standing there on a field lookin at 4-5 feet wasn't comfortable. had to get pretty worked up. but if you're competitive enough to play on an NFL offensive line, i'm sure it's different.
the pooch punt thing went really well this year. so the thing about AV saw diminished.
but IMO BB doesn't think AV can make from beyond 44.
