Sounds like a grind, but "In BB I trust."

Well like Koppen said "we haven't had doubles like this since college", there's no margin for error, hopefully "practice" does make "perfect' this year and shows on the field.

Coach Belichick may be feeling a bit of pressure and time sensitivity coming into this year.

With certain players getting a bit older (Thomas, Moss, Brady, Bruschi), this team as we know it may not have that much longer to get #4.

Last preseason was pitiful, and I think coach wants to make it very clear that just because you're on the Pats, you still have to work to win.

This team as we know it did not get #1, #2 or #3.

I think "this team as we know it" pretty much means Brady and Belichick

All the doubters and armchair HC's, front and center please ;) All the "Big Vince will be a no-show" front and center please;)

This year is a must, be it 19-0 or by the skin of their teeth, either way I think we're going to be treated to some of the best Patriot's football ever, and one of the most complete and balanced teams ever as well.

Our boys understand what's expected, this year especially imho :) We're in for a treat people, and personally I can't wait:D

We needed the extra practice early this year. A lot of new pieces (there could be 5 new starters on defense alone with Burgess, Bodden, Springs, Chung if he can surpass Sanders, and Lenon potentially starting this year) means they need to get some extra reps.

The league mandates how many two a days teams can have in the preseason. If the Pats have so many early, they will have less going down the stretch.

Imo its a great thing what BB is doing, we have like 80 somthing dudes on the roster, have to separate the men from the boys somehow=)

Plus they are earn a pretty penny and should be thankful they have jobs and can put food on the tabel for their familys. It's hard work and grulling, I'm not saying it isn't but need to man up and get it done.

    Go Pat's!

I disagree. The only player whose age matters to this team (the "Belichick/Brady Patriots") is Tom Brady. When Brady retires or becomes ineffective, then it will be a new ball game. But, I don't see that happening in the next few years, barring injury. They won titles without Adalius and Randy; Bruschi is in his final year or two and the Pats are already planning for his retirement. The clock runs out on this particular team (note the distinction, i.e., NOT on the franchise!!!) only when Brady is no longer the force he has been. Then, it will be on to a new combination and a new chapter. But, that's not happening anytime soon.

    BTW, Welcome to the Board.

This team didn't make the playoffs last year, so one of those weeks of practice got carried over to training camp.

Maybe, maybe not. We didn't have Brady last year, and the reason we don't go to the playoffs wasn't Brady's replacement. It was those defensive guys "that don't matter."

If the defense does its part, there is no reason for the Pats to collapse when Brady leaves.

While I acknowledge and even revel in the greatness of Brady, the idea of yours and Siva's that the team is Brady/BB and the others don't matter is the kind of thing I'd expect to hear from red-seat people drinking champagne in the heated clubhouse, not on Patsfans.
