My guess for the Jerod Mayo restructure.
While I do not think that it will be right I should take a guess at the actual structure of the Mayo deal. Here it is. Mayo gets a $1,500,000 signing bonus. Mayo's salary is lowered from $6,250,000 to $3 million salary fully guaranteed. $3 million guaranteed salary plus the $1.5 million signing bonus equals $4.5 million in full guarantees. Mayo can get to the 6 million in compensation by playing in more than 85% of the defensive snaps in 2015.
Current Deal New Deal
Salary $6,250,000 $3,000,000
46-man active Roster Bonus $187,500 $0
2015 Signing Bonus Proration $0 $500,000
2012 Option Bonus Proration $2,400,000 $2,400,000
2011 Signing Bonus Proration $1,200,000 $1,200,000
OffSeason Workout Bonus $250,000 $0
Totals $10,287,500 $7,100,000
2015 Gross Cap Savings $3,187,500
