The original deadspin report had a link that said her fans asked for her whereabouts, if you click on that link, someone gives a cache of her/his thread in which he/she was showing off her "wonderful feet".
From the way I see it, I think the wife really enjoys this and Rex is just caught up in it.

He institutes this code of conduct that clearly states that activity need not be criminal but rather merely embarassing to the league's image as a means to clean up the unsavory images some of the rap generation was projecting in the wake of becoming instant millionaires... Then his prime image offenders turn out to be aging and overweight white men who have become icons after more than 20 years in the league engaging in deviant behavior in the technological age...LOL What is a commissioner to do...

As for Rex, he better win the big one in NY this season or next or he will be back to coordinating someone's defense for the same reason Ozzie and Steve didn't trust him to be the high profile HC of their Baltimore Ravens...loose cannonitis. Will probably make his twin less palatable as a HC too. It's not what he and the missus engage in that bothers the league, it's their indiscretion in engaging in or sharing their desire to on the WWW. It wasn't illegal for Rex to flip Miami fans the bird, yet he was fined for his indiscrete behavior. Turning a blind eye to his internet forays after that, just like he's trying to with Brett's indiscrete texting, just makes a mockery of Goodell's attempt to polish up the shield for worldwide marketing purposes...

They aren't the best defense in the league this season in case you hadn't noticed. And their offense is a crap shoot from week to week and opponent to opponent. Sanchise has a boo boo to boot. As does Santonio. They've lost Woody for the season. They are in a must win situation this week (and if they don't again next week) playoff wise and the last thing they need is their brash motivational leader skulking around sheepishly with his tail between his legs.

With that being said,I think his players believe in him and will try and win for him..even if they fail on the field

If a team leader on the Jets was not happy then I could see them implode in the locker room,but a ******ed video by a coach who hasn't grown up yet is not reason enough for me to think it will have a negative effect on their season.

If they lose it will be on the field,not off of it.

Yah, just like Spygate was not a distraction to the 2007 Pats coaches and players in the SB leading to poor preparation for the Giants game plan.

Get a grip. This scandal will have a big impact on the Jets. Coach distracted and off his all important motivational game. Jets ownership now looking at their frontpiece image in a very different light, especially in light of needing PSL sales. And Goodell's league 'conduct' policy exposed as biased directly against the off field culture of black rap culture players while white management and white media whore QBs get a free pass. Don't think this won't be a problem in getting a new CBA. A perfect storm of disaster for the Jets and the NFL.

An interesting question.

For the sake of making a kinda-sorta comparison, BB did say that the prior to the 1997 Pats/GB SB, the talk about Parcells-to-the-Jets did have an impact on the team's mental preparation.

These stories are obviously different but one has to think that when your head coach is involved in some kind of serious news, it's a distraction to the players. The key question/answer is did that distraction have a direct impact on the game's outcome.
