They said the roof material (except for the support beams, etc.), was actually a fabric, "no thicker than your jeans". You could see it give when they walked on it. So because of that, and with the very light color, it shouldn't have reflected too badly.I go by the stadium almost every day. When they were constructing it, in the middle of summers when the temps were at, or near 115 -120 degrees, you could see these guys walking on the silver roof. I imagined that the heat, reflecting off of that roof must have been 150-200 degrees. I dont know why some of them didnt fry up there.
I went to the Cards/Lions game a couple of weeks ago. My nephew had gotten tickets before the season started... and even though we were up in the 4th deck ($10.00 for tickets. Can you believe that?) the view was amazing and the stadium is the most awesome facility for sports that I have ever been in.
