This is funny and sad, proves the Ny media and media in general think they run the show. If i was the giants i wouldnt answer another question from the media again

Kinda the opposite of what the Boston Media would do. Everybody would be there asking "how much did the loss, suck?" "are you going to tar and feather the punter?" etc.

I just love the NY Post. It appeals to the best human instincts and never fails to demonstrate kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness.

I've got to say though that Eli showed some class, even if not some cojones. He seems like a likable kid.

There are two ways to write every sports story: you can write that "the winner won" or that "the loser lost".

In this particular game you can write about the Eagles epic comeback or the Giants epic collapse.

NYC has two football team. One lost, one won. The headline was about the Giants not the Jets. That says everything you need to know about how the Post approaches sports stories. Jets bouncing back and beating the Steelers on the road should have been the headline in NYC papers.

Except most New Yorkers have the class to not root for the Jest. The Jest may have captured a few headlines, but it's the Giants that really matter to New York. It's like the old Yankees-Mets thing. The Mets are losers, and it's all about the Yankees when it comes down to it.

It's ok to say you liked the segment. I did too, actually.

You don't have to preface it with disclaimers of disdain for bspn. As a Pats fan, I generally assume you have bspn hatred unless stated otherwise. I suspect most other, seasoned fans do the same. ;)

I much prefer the Post to that fishwrap titled "New York Times".

Once, I had given thought to subscribing to the NYT in order to get material to line the birdcage. Then I realized how redundant that would be, and dropped the matter from consideration. :singing:

Indeed it will. I'll be keeping an eye on that one to see how uit all plays out. Rogers SHOULD be back, and that will count for a lot on GB's behalf.

OMG. That makes me feel a little bad for Eli which makes me feel a bit nauseous.

Did they seriously boycott or was there some miscommunication about time or place?

I've never thought I'd see a person look at 2 papers and say The New York Times is fishwrap while sparing The New York Post. Wazamatta? The Times flies over your head and the newsprint isn't all big like The Post's? Too much substance for you? Too many big words and extended analytical thoughts?

Being the cameras were there and no reporters this would be my presser...

"It was a tough loss, don't really know what else there is to say, but I will open it up to questions"

"Nobody has any questions? Oh, okay. Have a good night all"

well the media can complain to the league that moss doesnt talk to the press and get him fined but these guys can just leave a SB winning QB from 3yrs ago stranded ?if iam giants fan iam as mad at them as the team. Eli should just refuse any more post game pressers esp if they win the next game

New York has ONE primary football team. The Giants are the favorite son of the fat cats in New York. The Jets have always been, and always will be second banana to them. The Giants garner more media attention over the years than The jets ever did. Always did, and always will. The people in POWER are Giants fans. The little uninportant losers are the ones who're The Jets fans.
And plus, you say The jets win was more important on Sunday? No freaking way. That Giants collapse was one of HISTORIC proportions. Not since The Pizarchik fumble in 1978 has there been a HISTORIC debacle such as that.
    Put it this way...
The Jets win will be soon forgotten
But New York will be talking about that Giants game FOREVER and ever and ever.

Come on, put things in better perspective.

No, there was no boycott. Some screw up on the time of when it was supposed to start I guess. Or maybe Eli took advantage of nobody being there so he could get out of there quickly after that loss. Though it is rather strange that nobody from public relations was there to tell him to wait.

Here's a nice little rant on the subject for those that are not offended by profanity:
