The Seattle Seahawks will cut ties with T.J. Houshmandzadeh by trading or releasing him, according to two league sources, and it will promote former Detroit first-round draft pick Mike Williams into its starting lineup for a Sept. 12 game against San Francisco.

Before the Draft, I was exerting myself strenuously to shout down the idiots who wanted to waste an early pick on a WideOut, when we already had Moss, Welker ~ is it REALLY surprising that this Beast has come back so soon?? ~ Edelman, and Tate...And one argument that I offered was the very real possibility ~ 50/50, I said ~ that Deion Branch would be available for a song...or less.

Imagine my surprise to see HOOSH on the Block??

I would LOVE to pick this guy up. Rumors of his arrogance and hubris are VASTLY exaggerated, in my view: He is a SCRAPPER. A Chain Mover.

But SCREW trading them a Pick...and getting saddled with that CONTRACT.

No way in HELL anyone give the Hawks anything, so he'll probably be CUT.

I say we GET him.

FROM what PFT says, its MORE a salary related issue..

That may well be, but in an uncapped year, with Jerry Jones playing for a Super Bowl at home in Dallas, I do not think Crayton's salary would prohibit him from staying with the team if he could contribute. I think it has more to do with the fact that he is a whiner who would not accept a lesser role, does not contribute on special teams, and really isn't very good to begin with.

Why? He makes way too much, that's why Seattle is getting rid of him in the first place. He's much better than Mike Williams, but is horrendously overpaid. He turns 33 this month, and has 3 years left on a 5yr/$40M/$15M guaranteed contract. He'll get cut because nobody will be willing to take on his contract, then he'll sign somewhere else after week 1 for a whole lot less nonguaranteed money, kinda like Adalius Thomas.

He'll get cut because nobody will be willing to take on his contract, then he'll sign somewhere else after week 1 for a whole lot less nonguaranteed money, kinda like Adalius Thomas.

Even if they cut him, he is still guaranteed the 7 mil this year. Hypothetically somebody could sign him for 1.5 mil and Seattle is still on the hook for the remaining 5.5 mil. I think the niners should take a look at him, what a way to get a solid WR to go with crabtree and stick it to an opposing rival with the contract.

And one HELL of a Shooting Guard.

Along with the aforementioned Deji Karim and Joique Bell, Charlie Scott, Dmitri Nance, and Darius Marshall are 5 RB's I would've loved to've seen us scoop up and take into Training Camp...
