Posted by Mike Florio on May 4, 2008, 6:36 a.m.
As the “Days without an Arrest” meter creeps back toward double digits, it might once again be pushed back to zero before it can get there.
We’re getting word, from multiple readers, of an arrest of a fairly high-profile player. The arrest occurred in Travis County, Texas. The charges, we’re told, relate to boating while intoxicated; the last NFL player to our knowledge who was busted for such an infraction was Browns guard Eric Steinbach. (This time around, it’s not him.)
We’ve yet to confirm this one, so we’re not going to post the name just yet.
Now that is a party lake there... Oh well, now Mendenhall can... what? they didnt draft him? Oh, then Thomas Jones can... what?
What just happened to Ced Benson was basically torture. They sprayed him because he refused to blow into the breathalizer. You have the right to refuse it.
He needs to personally sue each cop and drag them through the mud.
This is just messed up...
All because the hired goons were jealous of a black man and his fancy boat.
They had no choice. Benson repeatedly failed to pull his boat over to the shoulder of the road.
Actually he tried to run away, he got 3.4 yards and then he was tackled.
