Teams are what they are. Both these teams have a lot of talent on the field, but they both are so much less than the sum of their parts. The poor cardinals just can't get over the hump.
Warner is unbelievable. No QB in football has 8 seconds to throw the ball. Just count to 3. If nobody is open, get rid of it.
As the resident Arizona Cardinals season ticket holder on the board, I would greatly welcome Warner to the Pats for this season. He's a pro. He does have a tendency to hold onto the ball too long, which would be a problem with our line, but still, in terms of a second-tier QB out there we could do a whole lot worse. I'm anxious to see how Cassel does, but if you gave me Kurt Warner right now I'd need some convincing to not start him within a few weeks.
That said, I agree with those who say he's as untouchable as Tony Romo or Ben Roethlesberger. He's the starting QB for a team that has playoff aspirations. He'll will surely be in foxborough this year, as a starting QB fighting for the playoffs -- on December 21 for the opponents.
See, I'll just never grasp such divergent rationales...
Wow! A little adversity and Warner falls apart doesn't he.
