I think if Cleveland is going to dangle Brady Quinn and considering that he is looked at as a future star by some (which I am NOT convinced of that) I would think it is going to either take a high draft pick in trade to let him get away so with that said,If there is going to be anything happening with Quinn in a trade it would probably be with a team who drafts in the top 10 -
So since you can rule out New England for obvious reasons,I can see Miami,Kansas City,Atlanta or maybe even St.Louis as top players in that kind of deal.
Chicago picks a bit lower thus maybe they would have to give a #1 and maybe a later pick as well.
Nevertheless it will be interesting to see - What I don't see is if Anderson is as good as he looked last year Cleveland will have to do something with Quinn,He is too highly regarded by some to sit on the bench for 2 or 3 more years barring any injury to Anderson.
But just think of how Atlanta got screwed when Vick was suddenly gone and they gave away Schaub weeks before,Stuff like that may make a team think twice about depth at the most important position in football.
I don't see how you can say St. Louis; I know Bulger was hurt last year but they invested WAY too much money in him to give up on him after one injury plagued season.
I'm really curious to see if KC has completely given up on Croyle yet. They liked him so much, then put him behind a terrible line, with virtually no weapons (other than Gonzalez), and combine that with LJ being hurt, I can't see why they are ready to give up on him already. That being said, they still seem high on Ryan, so Quinn is a possiblity if they really just want a QB.
I could see Miami doing it IF Cleveland had a rd 1 pick, which they don't, because of the extra pick involved. John Beck was terrible, you can't really count on him without bringing in someone to challenge him or takeover. It's not as if Josh McCown is the future there, and he proved he's not much in Oakland, so I could see them doing it because an extra pick provides depth, but Cleveland would have to package picks to move up, then swap with Miami; I could see that, because Miami needs help everywhere, but unless Cleveland does that, I really don't see this happening; Miami sure as hell would not give up #1 overall for just quinn and a midround pick.
Atlanta I wonder about as well. Again, their pick may be too high. Quinn was picked 23rd and I find it hard to believe that the Browns can get a top 5 pick for someone picked that late, so it'd have to be a package deal. Atlanta needs depth as well, but their situation is just as dire as Miami (Joey Harrington vs. Chris Redman and DJ Shockley yessss) so you never know what they might do; again depth is a huge issue for them, so they have a large number of moves they can make in order to improve.
I think Chicago and Carolina are more likely, because I just don't agree that it is a top 10 team that pulls the trigger - why would you trade a top 10 pick for a guy who was pick 23 and is unproven? As was mentioned this could be bad for us as those are potential suitors of Matt Ryan. Baltimore is in the mix as well but perhaps the geniuses over there think that they should give Kyle Boller "one more try" so who the hell knows.
To be honest, I think it is to Cleveland's benefit to move Quinn and move him now; if DA busts they can't trade Quinn because they will need him, and if DA goes all Pro Bowl type on us again, it will be harder to trade him because teams will know they need to offload Quinn's contract. This team could get seriously good quickly, I think, if they move him, but who the hell knows.
Watch some team no one has mentioned come in and trade for him; you never know with the NFL sometimes.
