Shaping up to be an interesting offseason:

What would the Steelers have to give up to get the Bears to take Tomlin?

Theres also reports of an extension and neither the Steelers nor tomlin has any interest in splitting ways. Hopefully this one is true and he gets a lengthy extension. They have been completely mediocre since 2011
Steve Balestrieri spoke to one writer down there ahead of the game a couple of weeks ago and apparently he's known as "Mediocre Mike" down there... interesting to hear how the other half lives ;)

Read the steelers fan forum, its worse than us here on Bill.

Yep probably 90% of steeler fans want him gone lol national media adores him though and the Steelers traditionally are loyal to a fault. Tough to see them moving on

We must jump into that pool!

i don't fully understand the moving on from Tomlin chatter... Guy is a good coach... ain't perfect but any stretch of the imagination, but he is better than most

I know he gets a lot of heat, especially from squealer fans, and has done some stupid things *cough* matt canada *cough* but honestly, who hasn't... Maybe he just needs a new scene, like Andy Reid did at the end of his run in Philadelphia... But overall he drafts fairly well, teams play hard for him, and based on his rosters over the past few seasons, gets his teams to overachieve...

If the Rooneys are stupid enough to get rid of him, and we do decide to move on from BB, we should take a long hard look at him.

Steelers issue is their QBs have been painfully mediocre to bad for years

Fred Tomlin Sanford wasted Big Bens career. The Steelers choked in the post season every way possible.

Granted, Terry Bradshaw is no Norman Einstein, but he called Fred a "glorified cheerleader" and he is spot on.

Tomlin took a group of mental cases: Bell/Brown/BR and got the most out of them for years.

This year he's doing it with an offense that is as bad as the Pats.

Not the best coach in the league, but certainly good.

Tomlin is a great coach. Very underrated because he is not known as some sort of "guru" of D or O.

He is still young and Steelers would be dumb to move on from him. Steelers are not dumb.

Can we get in on this discussion? So Tomlin will cost you a 1st... we'll give you BB for a 2nd!

Tomlin is no where close to the disciplinarian that BB is.

He is so clueless that a Steeler player had his cell phone and video taped Tomlins post game threat to the Patriots next playoff next game. The Pats used that video as motivation and kicked the Steelers axx up and down the field. Who was the Steeler DB that bad mouthed the Pats before their regular season game and Brady sought that player out and torched him.

Steelers and Pats are similar teams. Well coached, good defense, held down by terrible QBs.

The Bears getting a great coach and pairing him with the 1st overall pick from the Panthers who will be a QB may be good. They could send their own high 1st to Pittsburgh as comp. Trade Fields for a 2nd.

He is better than anything Chicago has had for a coach in forever.
