You guys are both engaging in flawed analysis. These athletes aren't thinking about long term investing strategies, the rate of inflation and how to maximize the net worth.

They're thinking "Hey, #24 for Miami makes more than me but I am better than him - I want me mo' money!"

I understand that but I was responding to the comment that suggested $10,000,000 is all the money in the world and anyone who has that and thinks there is any reason to want more has a character flaw.
I GUARENTEE you that every person in this country that has 10,000,000 has a plan for that 10,000,000 as well as how they would use the next 10,000,000 too and would not see it as useless excess.
