After watching this, i turned on comcast on demand, and checked the nfl network to see what shows they had this week. One of the shows i watched was the "10 worst teams ever", and guess who was number ten to start out the show? The 1990 Pats......god they were aweful. lol.

I remember those days and even the 80's-I'm 33 now.
I guess that makes our current organization more appreciated by us old school fans.
I'm pleased as long as Bill is here.
I'm excited to see this years DEFENSE!

As a 35 year old, I can tell you that we are not that "old school". Some of our friends here go back much further than us.

I wish the Pats had games online like this.

not so many offensive plays to remember...the 'best' were, imho, a Fryar catch and an Allen run in the 3rd quarter and a catch in the 4th by Dykes

I've been a Pats fan since the late 70's, but for the life of me, I cannot remember why they declined after their two 11-5 seasons in the mid 80's.

1985 - 11-5, lost Super Bowl
1986 - 11-5, lost to Denver in the divisional round
1987 - 8-7 (strike year)
1988 - 9-7
1989 - 5-11
1990 - 1-15

Throw out 1987 and, for three years, you have a pretty decent team. Then 5-11 and -gulp- 1-15. What the heck happened?

Here's a nice 6-game run late in that season...

- 14-0 loss at Buffalo
- 34-14 loss at Phoenix (Cardinals)
- 37-7 loss vs. KC
- 24-3 loss at Pittsburgh
- 25-10 loss at Washington
- 42-7 loss at the Jets

So that's 0-6, losing by an average score of 29.3 - 6.8.

Um.....suddenly going 11-5 and barely missing the playoffs doesn't seem so bad.
