Found on Chiefsplanet.

A full game NBC broadcast from the 1990 1-15 season.

Kansas City 37, New England 7

I never want to hear any more whining about the last 4 years of not being a Super Bowl Champion EVER AGAIN!!!

This is what we older fans lived through.

KC Chiefs Games

What a poorly coached team. I mean really. Sorry as hell.

Thanks for the post, I guess. ;)

Who the hell is George Adams?

Never heard of him.

Patriot diehard here since 1976, and I know my very obscure Patriot players.

Adams? Never heard of him.

Stephen Starring I've heard of. Adams no.

Jesus, Mike Webster's starting for the Chiefs... and he died a couple years ago.

Was that Ronnie Lippett who gets burned on the first play from scrimmage (yeah it was, they mention it about 5 minutes later)?

Stands are completely empty. I was probably there.

Alright, I could only make it to where Hodson comes on to the field. Yeah, we've come a long way people.

The thing is if you lived in the Boston area you never saw this game as all Patriot games were blacked out back then because they never sold out.

So this may be your first opportunity to see how truly awful things were. 2 years later the skies opened and Bill Parcells was brought in and football mattered in New England.

Right on!
I remember those days and even the 80's-I'm 33 now.
I guess that makes our current organization more appreciated by us old school fans.
I'm pleased as long as Bill is here.
I'm excited to see this years DEFENSE!

parcells wasn't much different from the ron meyer/ray berry era.......the only real difference makers have been bob kraft and belichik

I was there. Bought sideline tickets at face value from a very grateful guy in the parking lot. I remember at halftime, Victor Kiam was on the field honoring John Hannah (I think his jersey was being retired). The crowd was booing Kiam so loudly you couldn't hear him speak. Then they'd cheer Hannah like crazy, and it went back and forth like that -- booing and cheering.

Those were the days I used to work sundays, listened to the games on the radio via earphones.. no one could believe that I was not betting on the games, and was still such a rabid fan.. always was and always will be that type of fan.

Right...I rememebr that, that was a riot!!

Back in those days, there never were back ups on rte one.

I lived 20 minutes away then and could leave for games at noon and be in my seat by kickoff after ingesting beers and dogs and partaking in certain other pre game festivities.

Also could leave at end of 3rd quarter, miss nothing and be home in time for late games and what we would call watching REAL football be played.

Re: Ok kids, This will remind us to be grateful : A full game broadcast from 1990

I can remember being able to buy good tickets for $10 at kickoff. Scalpers would have stacks of them. I can remember thinking why would a scalper buy that many tickets in the first place.

Ah, the good old days....

I don't care how bad a game goes*, just having these games archived on the net is a good thing.

Regards,
Chris

*Okay, I lied. I still cannot watch the Jan '07 AFCCG or SB42.

I understand why you would say this, because Parcells left abruptly, as he has elsewhere--and as you see with the Jets, his success when he's at a place doesn't mean it will last once he's gone.

Having said that, we all owe a tip of the cap to Parcells. He changed the environment around the franchise dramatically--it was kind of hard to believe when he got here, it was such a breath of life, of credibility. Not to mention the fact that it was through Parcells that Kraft got to know Belichick

Hey it's Joel Myers! I didn't know he did football. He has been the Lakers play by play announcer for the last 3 years.
