Eagles winning the draft AND UDFA. Pats fell asleep after signing 7 players
TBF, though, every successful slot binky they've had has been past their rookie deal.Well there go my Slot binkies.
TBF, the way that they're most likely to stick is special teams (as a "counterexample," see Austin Carr).Keeping in mind that almost none of the guys being talked about in this thread are sticking with a team, the guy I hope keeps the Pats’ streak going with UDFAs is Labryan Ray. IF (huge if) he can drag healthy, he might have an NFL career.
Purdue LB must have backed out.
The Pats UDFA signings mimicked their overall draft, some interesting physical traits with some players, but overall, underwhelming.View attachment 42887
They subsequently added him.
Seems like an underwhelming UDFA class this year. Ray is clearly the most physically talented but the guy hasn’t been able to stay healthy.
2022 NFL Draft Preview: Alabama Crimson Tide Defensive Lineman LaBryan Ray
Once a prized prospect, Ray was injured during four of his five seasons with the Crimson Tide and took fewer than 1,000 snaps during his entire collegiate career.www.si.com
His one fully healthy year was 2018:
Played in all 15 games as a sophomore, with one start, and was credited with 39 tackles, including 5.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks. Those are all career highs.
King and Schooler could stick, both great athletes looking for a position. Ray is a great athlete and must be a Saban recommendation.
Definitely a focus this year in the draft and UDFA on overall athleticism, with a couple obvious exceptions.King and Schooler could stick, both great athletes looking for a position. Ray is a great athlete and must be a Saban recommendation.
I noticed that both Texas and Oregon fans are saying he sucks as a DB but played pretty well as a WR
