Hoyer's the QB of this team.
I have no idea what O'Brien was trying to do with Mallett. None.
It was pretty much the opposite of this in week 1. Hoyer started and looked like ****, then Mallett came in and looked generally pretty decent.
The real problem here is that when you have 2 QBs, and they both kinda suck, all it takes is for the backup to have a good series for you to say "eh, seems better than the dumpster fire I've got now". The established floor is so low that any QB who makes a couple decent plays can surpass it.
