Official Brady Appeal Thread: D-Day Tuesday June 23rd

I guess we will have to wait a little longer to see what happens. I just cannot imagine that you have a team of Kessler, McPhee, Smith, and DePaso who have the opportunity to tear the teeth out of The Commissioner's ability to arbitrarily and capriciously discipline players and they'd just let it go for one player - even if that one player is Tom Brady.

This is a major power struggle. The Commissioner Who Shall Not Be Named should have dumped the Wells Report in the gutter and let it all go. He's too stupid and is clinging to his power. This could end up Game of Thrones bloody for the NFL - I think the NFLPA sharks smell blood in the water and are moving in for the kill. It's what I would do in their shoes. No Quarter. Maybe I am projecting, but their track record indicates otherwise.

You make no sense.......it is Brady and only brady who will decide whether to accept the terms of the appeal or take it to court....if he decides to go to court, no one can stop him except the court itself. If he decides not to nobody can make him proceed

As I said, I have a suspicion people are misinterpreting not speaking to media after the hearing for not speaking at all during the hearing...

Ya almost happened to me when I read a tweet too quickly.

You may be right. With that said if they want to declare war and this goes to court, TB12 COULD miss games late in the season. Not sure TB12 wants to run that risk...

If it goes to court, the suspension if it remains will most likely not be served until 2016....a decision would take 9 months from the day filed to be rendered without much foot dragging

This is the problem with modern media. With only 140 characters you can't fit in all of the pertinent details...

Was told by person in today's appeal that Tom Brady's greatest ally was...Tom Brady. Offered explanations in all areas. Now up to Goodell.

Brady testified, there is no way he didn't. However, he did not address the media. Ffs people, be reasonable.

Well the appeal hearing is over. Except, obviously, the conclusion.

What's another few months of giving the media circular things to print and speculate, as long as integrity is being served

Nothing to see here. Fart Hubarf sending a vague tweet that he knows will be misinterpreted but he can fall back on saying I meant speak after the hearing!!!! It's twitters fault!!!!

Ian's tweet is a bit confusing, but it doesn't have to be read as disagreeing with Schefter's.

Nice, Schefter is reliable too so that's awesome that Brady presumably left Wells with egg on his face. Not that it means Roger will do the right thing. He never does.
