Hope his reality TV show is going well..just what he needs after his great year last year...i really hope he does horrible this year so we can just get rid of him
No, that was when he played here and DID get the system
Stallworth might spend just one year with Patriots - NFL - ESPNThen why give him a six-year deal worth $30 million with $3.5 million guaranteed only to let him go after only one year?
It's after the 2007 season, however, when the really big money could kick in.
For the Patriots to retain Stallworth for the 2008 season, they must pay him an option bonus of $6 million by Feb. 25, 2008. There is a subsequent roster bonus of $2 million due March 1, a second roster bonus of $1.6 million based on playing time, a base salary of $1 million and a $400,000 workout bonus. That totals an exorbitant $11 million for 2008, or a two-year total of $14.6 million.

Primarily because after signing him, the Patriots traded for Moss. After the 2007 season, they decided that Moss had more value, and he was the #1 WR.
You appear to be making up a result then concluding it could be the only reason for what occured.
It would be helpful to supply a single example of any evidence whatsoever that Stallworth struggled to learn the system.
Lose the battle win the war, because I think his best days are far behind him, so in the end I don't see him having much a chance of making the team.I guess I wasn't overly impressed with him due to the contract we gave him and the numbers he put up, but considering he was on the field with Moss and Welker, 47 catches was more impressive then I gave him credit for. I didn't even realize he had that many. Anyone would look pedestrian next to moss and welker in 07. I also didn't realize they would've had to fork over 11 million to keep him. I was under the impression it was incentive laden. Regardless, I'm wrong (not the first time,, won't be the last) , he obviously got the system.
Sanphonyo "Me!" Holmes.
He's running his mouth. He's currently filming his reality show set to air this summer. My guess is that he's doing some pre recruiting for that hot mess of a tv show. He may be slow to learn the Patriots system, but he's a social media genius/whore.
sigh...still, how some of you can actually think that Chad will be any better than last year blows my mind. AND, you are comparing a rookie year to a man....how old is he now? C'mon people. Chad, Donte, Tiquan and Gonazles will be fighting for that last WR spot. My money is on Donte. Chad will be told to hit the streets. I could see him in black and silver.
One thing that Chad has on his resume that those others doesn't have is SEVEN 1,000 yard receiving seasons. That's right, even Donte never cracked 1,000 not even in the record-breaking 2007 season. Of course I don't know if Chad will finally turn the 'light on' but I wouldn't bet against him. That's for sure.

He also added a big and glaring 15 reception season on his resume under most recent employment. I've never seen a worse player get so much love from Patriots fans. Can't Kraft just take the boys to Justin Beiber concerts and cut out the middle man so the Patriots aren't wasting a roster spot?
