No 1 pm Home Games...until CHRISTMAS EVE!

Does anyone here other than me actually travel from far away to attend the games? If you did, you'd hate this.

I don't have to travel too far, but my thought was that typically with the 1:00 games I could still be home in time to watch the 2nd half of the 4:00 games. Now I'll miss out on the 1 and 4:00 games.

This sucks my kids nap at one so I love 1pm games! They tend to goto sleep at 8 and 9 so night is ok but 4pm is just awful for my schedule.

You could alway put the kids up for adoption. Kind of a win - win. :)

This is my exact dilemma

I prefer it this way too. When the Patriots are on, they command all my attention, so when they're on at 1:00, I am missing out on a lot of other action. But when they're on at 4:00, usually all that is playing opposite them is something like a Cardinals-Seahawks game. And needless to say, when they are a night game, I don't miss anything.

I don't know about 2am, but 2pm would be great!
Didn't the old Baltimore Colts used to start their home games at 2:15 or some other strange time like that? I seem to remember some games from way back when with the Pats-Colts AFC East matchups on WBZ Channel 4 starting at that strange time.

Considering the untimely end of ATDHE at the hands of the U.S. government, I'm sure this is music to any out-of-towner fan's ears. I know I loved it.

This. I'm elated.

I share two TVs with NFL Sunday Ticket with 5 other friends, the less competition for the TVs the better!

I'll just be happy to see football at all this season.....I wouldn't care if the games were at 2am.

Believe me, watching games at 2 AM sucks. I've done it many times.

But not anymore! Can't wait to see all of the games in person again.

That certainly throws a bit of perspective - and a very wet blanket - on those finding a reason to not like a 4 pm start, doesn't it?

Welcome back PJ, and a belated Happy Passover.

Are you stateside again? Your location still says China. On that note, my location still says the asses of the mothers of Chargers fans. Good thing their admins can't ban me here.

Just to be clear, I have no problem watching a game in front of a TV set at either 1 pm or 4 pm. My problem is that I know it's near impossible to get to Logan after a 4 pm Patriot game in time for a 9:15pm flight (last flight out).

best part about 1:00 PM games is the sweet sounds of Jim Nantz

I hate the 4:15 pm games in particular due to the intrusion of dinner when I am least able to enjoy it. Then I usually would clean up, but I'm not able to see the action...

Irritating!

I have a job that demands a fair amount of travel. I'm on a half dozen or more international trips each year, and lots of domestic travel. Often that requires Sunday night flights. So that means skipping out at 5 or 6 pm once or twice a month.

I'll miss a bunch of games, or will have to re-schedule trips.

There are other options than ATDHE. I got through the entire 2008 season without using ATDHE once.

...and then they have another on January 1st. Only four 1:00 pm games overall. Does this seem weird? It's going to be an irritating year with all of the Dinner time games and late nights! That must be the price of success, but I still don't much like it.

You are being selfish.

For the first time in 20 years I don't need to purchase NFL ticket. While I still get my fill of my Patriots addiction.

Sincerely,

AZPatsFan :rocker:

Your gonna have to get a new job :p

Thanks, JMT!

I'm still in China for now. I'll be back in about 49 days and 14 hours. But who's counting?

I love Sunday 1 PM kickoffs.

A morning tailgate is very much preferred. We make omelets with the works on thick sliced bakery bread... the egg mcglutton.

Our omelet pan is gonna get rusty... :-(

Wow...this has become a terrible problem for me (yes, I was saying a didn't care a few days ago). I've known that I'll be going to Tokyo for school in either August or January for awhile now.....it's starting to look like it's August. Now I'm gonna have a lot of 5am(6?) games. Of course I could start going to bed at a resonable time....if not Mondays are gonna be a b*tch

You'll be 14 hours ahead for most of these season (after DST ends). To me it's better to watch a game that starts at 5 or 6 AM rather than 1 or 2 AM, and the night games are perfect. Depends on your school schedule, of course. That being said, I remember in college that I would have rather stayed awake until 5 than get up at 6.
